Rota, Spain

If I could visit anywhere in the world I would visit Rota, Spain! I would go there because some friends of ours who are a military family were stationed there and said there is no place on Earth like this one. The people are friendly, the food is to die for and the wine is the best of any country around. The music there is graceful and everyone treats others with respect.  I would be sure to take lots of pictures and download them for all of my family and friends so they could share with us this beautiful place.

Romantic

Many people don’t know that I am a romantic at heart. I am looking for someone to sweep me off my feet. Many people think that I am a practical person, but they don’t see the person who is looking to have someone fall head over heels for me. My very closest friends know that I cry at commercials and love a good chick flick. When I tell people what a soft hearted, mush ball I really am, their initial impression is shock and disbelief. I have a bit of a rough exterior and I come across as quite cynical so they tend to think that I’m lying when I tell them what a romantic I really am.

Flecks of Hazel

  • January 18, 2012 5:19 am

My best physical features are my eyes. While they are brown and many people think that brown is boring I can vouch that my brown eyes are different. In the Fall/Winter they darken up and when I wear make up they become deep set and mysterious. In the Spring/Summer they get these great specks of hazel coloring. They lighten up and get a thin ring of deep, dark brown around them. When I put on light eye shadow they stand out and quickly become the focal point of my face. My best characteristic is my sense of humor. I am a really goofy, sarcastic person. Some people don’t get it and think that my sense of humor is better as a male trait than a female trait, but people who know me know that everything I say is all in good fun.

Friends

  • January 14, 2012 4:17 am

I always look forward to seeing friends. Working in retail means that my schedule is not consistent and I am always working odd hours. When I have the opportunity to see people that I enjoy being around is a great feeling. Many of my friends also work retail, so rarely do our schedules match up for us to see each other. When I know that I’m going to see one of them I get very excited. Even though I am in an industry where I am around people all of the time, it’s not the same feeling as when I am with people who truly care about me and enjoy being with me.

Retail

  • January 11, 2012 3:12 am

Working in a retail environment means that my weekends are not traditional Saturday/Sunday weekends. My weekend can be any day of the week, and I may not even have two days off together. Last week I was fortunate enough to have the same days off as a friend of mine. She lives about 2 hours from me, so I don’t get to see her as often as I would like. We had a great time this past weekend. It was her son’s birthday so we all went out to dinner and had some drinks and some laughs. It’s always nice being able to see her and hang out with her.

Corruption

If I could change one thing about the world it would be the corruption that occurs within the people who are tasked to protect and serve. I’m not only discussing police forces, but the people who run governments, the armed forces, and anyone in a position of power. It is amazing to me how much power corrupts people and once they get a taste of the corruption, they continue down that path. Many people will discuss their point of view to the public, but tend to ignore their position in private. An example of this would be Elliot Spitzer. He made such dramatic changes to the liquor industry in New York then got caught with his pants down. If you want to have sex with prostitutes then I say go for it, but when it makes you a hypocrite then shame on you.

Proper use of fire retardant spray

  • January 3, 2012 6:20 am

Do not use fire resistant fire retardant to reduce the flammability of fire wood stored near a fireplace. When applying fire resistant fire retardant to clothing, do not do so while it is being worn. When applying fire resistant fire retardant, do not get the fire resistant fire retardant in your eyes or on your skin. Only apply fire resistant fire retardant when working in a ventilated area. If possible, also wear a ventilating face mask while using the spray. While fire resistant fire retardant reduces the flammability of clothing, this does not make the material fire proof. Follow proper safety procedures when wearing fire retarded clothing. For example, if you apply fire resistant fire retardant to a sleeping bag, you must still sleep a safe distance from a camp fire. Know the type of material before applying fire resistant fire retardant. fire resistant fire retardant does not work well on nylon or permanent press clothing. If you apply fire resistant fire retardant to clothing and then have it dry cleaned, tell the dry cleaner that these chemicals have been applied to the clothing.

Tim

  • January 3, 2012 1:06 am

I am such a huge fan of music, especially when it tells a story. While I like many different genres of music, my favorite kind of music is country. Ten years ago I was dating a guy who really liked country. At that time, I had no interest in country music and would roll my eyes every time he sang along with the radio. He wanted to go to a Tim McGraw concert with Kenny Chesney opening. He asked me to go with him and I agreed, since I knew how much he wanted to go. We were a little late and had just parked at the end of Kenny Chesney’s set. I remember asking him why he was singing about tractors? Then Tim McGraw came on and sang “Don’t take the girl.” I remember being so moved by the story that I got teary. I was hooked from that moment on. As it turns out, jazz does not really keep me quite as entertained as country. While I can understand the talent that it takes to play those instruments, jazz music doesn’t tell me a story that I can relate to. I don’t enjoy sitting around listening to the wail of jazz.

Flame Extinguishers

  • December 30, 2011 2:54 am

Fire extinguishers are also known as flame extinguishers. The main use of fire extinguishers is to control or protect from small fires. It consists of cylindrical vessel. In USA fire extinguishers is used in most of the houses and all buildings. Preventative maintenance should be used on each unit as they can become defective over time. Check the date of when the extinguisher was purchased which is usually attached to the canister area. Replace the extinguisher if after testing it does not function properly. So as possible we can reduce the loss or burn things or percentage. They are also useful because it prevents from the serious damage and also save human’s life and the animals also.

A Lifetime of Working.

  • December 27, 2011 8:21 am

I have worked a number of interesting jobs in my life some of the most entertaining include, photofinishing technician, stable hand, nanny and museum attendant.  Through all of my high school years I worked in a photofinishing lab where film was developed, printed, enlarged etc.  This job was so much fun it was like taking a peek into people’s lives!  I worked there for 5 years and saw photos of children being born all the way through there first few birthdays!  It was like knowing their lives without ever actually knowing them.  The photos that came through the lab were not always appropriate for a 14 year old to see, but that never stopped my supervisor from having me print them anyhow!
