Being Young

  • March 30, 2011 2:28 pm

Yes, my life is a fulfilled one. While being so young I’ve already found what I need in my life. A secure job, a good family, a good woman, few but nice and reliable friends. Obviously i’m not 100% satisfied, I’d like to improve my career, enlarge my family, get more friends and be a model for people around me. I’d like to give a positive impression on people around me, because the appreciation of people who work with you, live with you, love you is the most valuable thing of this life. What i think i need to fulfill my life more is to work hard and never give up, even in bad moments.

Fire safety and the people who help

  • March 29, 2011 9:47 am

There are fire fighters in every city in America. These brave men and woman combat blazes whenever they strike. Fire wardens are also located in just about every city but there job is a little more complicated. Fire wardens often spend their time in the forest wrangling brush and wild fires. Although all firemen help in any case which involves a fire, it’s the warden’s job to teach as well as prevent and control the fires in their area. All over the word we deal with elements of nature, the fire warden much like a warden for a prison has to know his whole area front to back and be aware of any changes that may have been made as well as any fire hazards that could occur at any time.

Professor

Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury

One person who has been influential in my life is a Professor who held a course in “Public Law” at my local university. Being such a hard-working professor, giving everything for students, not giving up teaching to become a famous professor showed me how it is important how you do things and not just what you do and what level of success you achieve. It has been a model for me in my university years and he will continue being a model for my professional life and, one day, for my children. Such men should be kept in high consideration in our community, since they pay a lot of effort because they believe in what they are doing.

United States of America

  • March 21, 2011 2:26 pm

I was born in a little and mostly insignificant country, with no opportunity for young people like me, ruled by 80 years old people minding about nothing but shaping the nation for themselves. I’ve been grown up with the myth of America as the place where everything is possible, the land of the “american dream”, where working hard is enough to get what you deserve. I’d also like to live there because people, beside their political affiliation, feel like a big family where the problems are faced together. E pluribus unum is quite charming for me, knowing that from a healthy political community good things come for everyone.

My Woman

Love of My Life (Queen song)

I think I’d call the woman I love, prepare a quick and delicious dinner, serve some wine, sitting on the sofa and watching outside the window the world going down. Leaving this life wouldn’t feel that bad with the support of people you love and I’d like to spend my last moment with the most meaningful person of my life. I know it could sound a bit cheesy but if we are meant to be alone in afterlife, if this world is not going to exist in one hour that’s the thing to do, the thing I love the most and I’d wouldn’t like to take such a risk waiting for afterlife.  Sharing something simple with a person who means so much to you is something amazing, everynight of your life, if it is the last one it’s the only thing I can see me doing.

No, I don’t have such a need

  • March 14, 2011 2:24 pm

Born close to the mountain I’ve always felt Nature as something fighting against humankind, making its life hard and dangerous, hosting feral beasts and few means to survive. For this reason probably I developed a peculiar idea of our planet. I’ve always felt it as a globe we had to modify and shape to get our living, a planet we should care about only according to our needs and the needs of future generations. I can’t remember the last time I went for a walk in a forest, such places simply freak me out.

I don’t like to have power and/or influence over other people

I think that adults should be let free to think and do whatever they please with the only limit being the respect of the freedom of other people. Maybe this is the change I’d make in my local community, a community where everybody, more or less, is waiting for help coming from above, while what they would have to do is to wake up earlier and go to work. So, in conclusion, I’d probably like to be Secretary of Alarms, waking up everybody at 6AM. Sun is up and running, what are you doing in the bed?

My favorite game to play as a child was soccer

  • March 7, 2011 2:23 pm

Soccer is our national sport and the game of young people. Everywhere in my country you can see children playing soccer. Historical squares, little gardens, school backyards, everything after school becomes a soccer field and children get to play what we call “the most wonderful sport in the universe”. I really don’t know why I liked it that much, maybe because it was a chance to stay all together with my friends, getting some competition and running a bit outside the house. I love this game, just like the commercial used to say.

The Apology of Socrates

Yes, a book changed my life. That book is “The Apology of Socrates” by Plato. It’s about the trial held in Athens against Socrates, where he was accused of not believing in the gods in whom  Athens believed and of corrupting the young. The trial itself would be quite boring without the excellent figure of Socrates, a philosopher who spent his life teaching doubts to his fellow citizens. It changed my life cause it is the book who taught me what is politics, what is a political community, what means standing for your own ethics and ideas and what it leads to. Definitely an excellent book which should be compulsory in the education of any high-school pupil.

Pay attention to safety of people first

  • March 3, 2011 6:53 am

Tall-raised buildings are a very common sight. Huge corporate office and malls comprising many floors is a common thing now. Not just commercial buildings, even residential apartments spanning many floors are very common anywhere in the world. All such buildings need to have safe exits – other than the commonly used ones – during times of emergency. During unexpected fire accidents, a fire escape ladder becomes essential in any building which has more number of floors. To evacuate residents to safety, introduction of a collapsible fire escape ladder in big mansions would be ideal which can be put to use only when needed.
