Fire has always been one of my biggest fears. I have always been paranoid about setting our house on fire. The thought of a fire in my home has haunted me for a long time. When I was a little girl, I watched my grandparents lose everything in a fire. Long before foam fire extinguishers existed I believe, It was because my cousin left a piece of candy wrap sitting on the stove, it lit up under my grandmothers boiling pot of potatoes, and in less than an hour, my grandparents lost it all. So, needless to say, I own a lightweight foam fire extinguisher. The night I smelt smoke coming from my kitchen, I was glad to have one. My son had left a paper plate sitting on the stove top that he forgot to turn off before heading to bed. My biggest fear had actually happened, and instead of freaking out like I thought I would, I handled it really well, and was thankful for the foam fire extinguisher.
