Sadly, the most expensive thing I ever bought, excluding my house or car, was my sofa and chair. I know, I am a wild woman. I fell in love with it though, it was a big oversized sofa, a brilliant red with multi-colored pillows, and my chair was big and deep purple. It was so comfortable, and also totally cute. Unfortunately I got it at Gardner White. And apparently they suck at customer service. Due to an unfortunate sumo wrestling accident the bottom beam broke while it was still under warranty. They eventually patched it, badly, after fighting with them for approximately, forever. Big purchase, but pain in the butt. Live and learn.
